Ireland Trip! Day 2 (10/22): Dublin, Ireland

Well, I already told you all about my morning in Perpignan , and that was really the majority of my day, I think our flight left around two and we were on our way to Dublin! The flight wasn't very long, however, I realized that when we landed, "Irish" was a lot harder to understand than french. We kept looking around at each other whispering, "What did he say?"
After the plane ride we took a taxi to the hostel we had booked that morning. (Brigitte insisted we do that before we left, otherwise she wouldn't be able to sleep). Our taxi driver seemed confused as to why we would vacation to Ireland "At least it never rains in the pubs!" Our hostel was an eight bunk shared room. That's what
you get for eight euros. I didn't ever get to meet the other people in my room, they were asleep literally the entire time we were there, everytime we left and came back. Maybe they were dead. Anyway, we decided to sit down and maybe plan at least our way back to France. After quite some time of researching and debating, we decided to fly back November 1st (Classes started again November 2nd, yes this was an actual break, Im not missing any classes, NEVER cut classes, kids.) So we booked a ticket from Dublin to somewhere DUMB in England and then from there we were gonna need to switch airlines and head to Toulouse, which is only a two-ish hour train ride away from Pau. After we got the boring stuff out of the way, we went out into the bustlin' streets of Dublin (Where they drive on the WRONG side of the road, by the way!!) to find ourselves some food. And guess what we found?? YUP. Hard Rock. And guess what they had there? Yup, real human sized foods. Now, if you've been following me from the beginning, you'll know the one thing I hate about France, is the bite sized portions and the shot glass drinking cups. Well that didnt happen in Hard Rock, in fact, that didnt happen in Ireland at all! It was so exciting! It was also silly, cause we couldn't break our french habit, we kept thinking en francais, and kept saying "oui," "merci," and "s'il vous plait," to the waitress. We're so dumb. We also enjoyed our first Guiness in Ireland. After dinner we headed out to explore (Mom, you can stop reading here if you want.)
The Irish love to drink. The Irish love Guiness and the Irish love to party. We hit up a very popular bar, called THE TEMPLE BAR, and another bar where we danced, and drank Guiness all night. I knew from that night on I was gonna love Ireland. Since we were going to be flying out of Dublin, we decided it'd be best to leave the next day, and come back and spend Halloween in Dublin! So we were off to Belfast in Northern Ireland the very next day!
