First thing about Galway: we have all fallen in love with Irish music. Especially this song
After a very long bus ride across Ireland, we were finally in Galway. This had to have been my favorite part of the whole trip.
We found a hostel as soon as we got of the bus called the Galway Hostel. I liked this hostel a lot. The hippie lookin guy with a long beard, a knit sweater and an awesome accent cut us a pretty good deal for our own room. I think the people at this hostel were much nicer than at any other place we had been to. After we set our things down, we went out to explore and almost immediately fell in love with the town. it was big, but quaint at the same time. Our hostel was located right on the corner of Eyre square, which is a nice kind of park, but also where we found a small Occupy Movement. It was kind of cool seeing it (they were in Dublin too). We walked down shop street which is where all the pubs and cool little shops are. And then we walked over to Spanish Arch as well as along the Friar River which literally looked like it was on the verge of flooding. After we spend some time walking around we decided to go back, and well get ready for the night. I'm sure you've guessed by now that people kind of like to drink in Ireland. We went to King's Head and Taafee's or something like that. Both awesome. And here are some photos from our day:
